this july, we will gather in the forest of old fort, north carolina to retreat to the forest and leave the wild busy of everyday life for three nights and four days of healing. In creekside cabins under the stars, you will be given the opportunity to enhance your relationship with nature and your true nature. Without all of the distractions of the modern wired world we live in. this soulful retreat will include yoga, hiking to waterfalls, fresh vegetarian meals, fire circles, meditation, sound bath, and much more to assist you on your journey with in.


indigo nature retreat

Located in the heart of Pisgah National forest with the Blue Ridge Mountains as our canvas Indigo Nature retreat provides the perfect setting to get away and unwind. Dense foliage, rolling currents, and diverse trails make our home away from home a unique place to come alive.

creekside cabins

indigo’s new creekside cabins feature a kitchen, full bathroom with a shower, cozy living room and kitchen nook. the lofted bedroom either has two or four beds. two beds can be configured into a king size bed. they also feature a creekside covered porch and firepit.

main house

the main house is where all of the socializing happens on retreat. the home features a fullsize kitchen, large living space, porch for meals and a loft with a gorgeous king size bed, which is an option for your retreat accommodations. you will have access to the main home from 7am-10pm daily.

community barn

the first floor is equipped with two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, coffee and tea station and bistro tables and chairs. the upstairs is a full yoga studio with props, beautiful lighting and the sounds of newberry creek to help you drop in to your practice.

bird’s nest cabins

featuring two twin beds, one of which is a loft twin, the other being a wrap around sofa that converts into a twin. each cabin has two sitting areas, a mini fridge, coffee maker, heat and A/C. please note there is no running water or bathroom facilities in these cabins, however the community barn is less than 100 feet away. the community barn features 2 full bathrooms, community kitchen, and indoor dining area.

With a degree in hospitality, combining her love of travel, yoga and her knowledge of the industry, Jen began planning and hosting retreats in 2011. She has led over 20 retreats in North Carolina, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. Jen’s retreats are always special, not just because of her planning and attention to detail, but because of the amazing souls that end up gathering and bonding over the fact that we are all one.


yoga and meditation classes on retreat

you will enjoy six yoga classes on your retreat with jen. jen’s classes are intelligently sequenced, playful, inspiring and taught to beautiful playlists with music to help you go inward. she encourages you to be your best teacher and truly gives you the permission to rest and do what is best for your body. each morning class will be vinyasa (flow) style and a full 90 minutes so you get a full practice including meditation. late afternoon/evening practices will be slow, restorative and relaxing such as deep stretch and yoga nidra. previous vinyasa yoga experience is recommended.

hiking

pisgah national forest

indigo nature reterat is located in the middle nature’s playground. from misty mountains, waterfalls, glorious lush forests, there is so much to explore. there will be two group hikes planned, one on friday and one on saturday. each hike will be chosen closer to the date of the retreat based on weather conditions. potential hikes include catabwa falls, montreat rainbow road, lookout mountain and so much more. trail shoes or hiking boots are required for safety. ,

these tiny cabins have heat and A/C, a mini fridge, coffee station, loft bed, dining area that turns into another twin bed, dresser, two chairs, a porch with two camping chairs, and a fire pit. there picture of the bathroom and larger kitchen shown are 100 feet away in the community barn where there are two full bathroms. there is also a full bathroom in the main house you will have access to. note the cabins are on a hill so there is some walking involved.

enjoy the luxury of staying in the main home on indigo’s property in a beautifully decorated bedroom with a king size bed. the room is located in a loft above the main living space. the house will be yours after 10pm (but much nights much earlier). there are camping chairs to sit outside on the main deck. this is a great option for those who want more of the comforts of home.

meals will be vegetarian and cooked fresh on site by carrie passey, an amazing cook from raleigh. carrie has catered for jen’s events in raleigh and always receives

rave reviews for her creations.

meals will be served on the deck of the main house buffet style. coffee, tea and lemon water are included but feel free to bring alcoholic or other beverages.

allergies will be noted during registration.

saturday evening will be dinner on your own to explore old fort or black mountain.

sound bath

a sound bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nuture your mind and body.


our sound bath will be lead by anisha of sun and moon healing in black mountain. known for her soulful warmth and brightness, anisha's nurturing heart allows others to be seen, and heal deeply. her deep desire is to cultivate and serve a community that brings brilliant vitality and

sincere happiness to its people. this passion flows through her loving guidance to others toward a renewed quality of life through education,

awareness, humor and spiritual integration.

Anisha Desai Fraser has been a thriving Acupuncturist, Qi Gong energy healer and Yoga teacher for over 20 years. She is passionate about offering healing, empowerment and transformation to others through many avenues.

to reserve your spot. reservations made before may 15th will receive a $50 early bird discount. The balance is due by june 1st. Cancellations prior to June 15th will receive 50% of the balance.
